Nov. 22 – Female Athlete of the Week: Beavercreek High School Athlete of the Week is Micaela Powers, Senior Soccer Star. Powers had a great senior year on the soccer pitch. She was 5th in the GWOC in goals scored and was named “D-1 Player of the Year.” She has committed to playing for Wisconsin next year. Her contribution to the Beavercreek program has been enormous and the coaching staff salutes Powers for being an outstanding student-athlete. Her leadership pm and off the field has been greatly appreciated by the school.
Nov. 22 – Male Athlete of the Week: Beavercreek High School Athlete of the Week is Airius Moore, Junior Football Star. The middle linebacker for the Beavers was part of the hard-hitting defense that helped lead the team to a final record of 7-3. He was in the top 30 in the GWOC for tackles with a 70 on the year and had 2 sacks and 2 interceptions. Moore is a two sport athlete and is part of the basketball team that won the GWOC Central title last year. His play on the football field was sparkling this season and several big time D-1 colleges should be calling on his services soon. His leadership on and off the field is saluted by his coaches.
