Dayton Children’s Hospital…
Each year more than 900 individuals volunteer a portion of their time at Dayton Children’s Hospital. Our volunteers are very special people who play an important role in the continued growth of our medical center.
The volunteer services mission is to help improve the quality of services of Dayton Children’s Hospital by assisting our staff, comforting patients and supporting their families.
What Volunteers Do
Volunteers at Dayton Children’s assist in more then 45 different departments in the hospital and five off-site locations. Volunteer tasks can vary from rocking a crying baby, reading to a child in clinic, working in the gift shop or doing data entry. The volunteer services department works hard to match each volunteer to the most appropriate job. For more information see: volunteering
